Programs FAQWho are the counselors at LVR?The counseling staff at LVR are dedicated college-age Christians, many of whom are training for teaching or church-work professions, and all of whom have a great sense of care and concern for each young person who comes to LVR. The staff are carefully and prayerfully screened, and each receives over a week of training at LVR, including First Aid and CPR. One or more of these trained staff will be with each cabin group 24 hours a day to teach and lead them in Christian discipleship. When I am at LVR, where will I sleep?During the summer of 2005, all campers and families at LVR who are not on campouts or in the campground will be housed in one of two types of facility. There will be 7 hard-sided bunkhouse-style cabins, and 4-5 soft-sided military-style tents with cots. Both types of structure will have electric lights and hard floors and will be virtually identical in their “comfort-level”. If you have a preference for one or the other type of structure, please make your preference known at the appropriate place on the registration form. May I bring my pet?No, unless you are staying in the Family Campground. If you are a registered guest at the campground, you may bring your pet provided that you: 1) place current vaccination records on file at the LVR of- fice; 2) do not take your pet outside of the family campground area; and 3) keep your pet on a leash at all times. Can I and a friend stay in the same cabin group?Yes. You can request to be in the same cabin group as one or two of your friends who are in your age group and want to go to the same camp.
